Traffic
What do you get on a Sunday evening on the last weekend before school starts and every family in Seoul is out for a last fling with the kids?
A traffic jam that begins 100 km outside the city, and rest areas that are mobbed with travelers hoping to get a respite from the crowded highway encountering an even more congested parking lot.
There even was a line for the men's room!
Oh, the humanity...

There is something so odd and 21st century about the fact that you blogging from a rest area in South Korea. . .
Br. Simon - you're on! I'll look forward to joining you for a dinner someday. My treat, of course! My friend is introducing me to a lot of different types of Korean food, and I am finding it all delicious.
Well, bundaegi wasn't delicious, but it didn't gag me, either.
Fr Mike, sure hope you were able to hold your own! Marilyn
Fr. Mike!
This is Br. Simon Kim from St. Albert's, one of the novices who will be professing vows on Saturday. I have to say that I'm very envious of your trip to Korea. I haven't been to my homeland for many years, and I do miss all the good food. I don't miss bundaegi at all though.
And I remember exactly the same thing you went through, massively long traffic jams and rest stops packed with people.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay. We'll have to go out for Korean food some time when you get back. God bless.
