Well I can't let the occasion pass without joining in this mass caterwauling so a meeowably happy birthday to you Sherry. Does the pic show the resigned, restrained and patient Pippin indulging those who attempt to ridicule him?

You mean the restrained and patient Pippin who made another break for it last night, sneaking out the front door - which was supposedly blocked by a large fan - heedless of the fact that the resident foxes and coyotes would consider her a tasty snack! Ever try to find a pure black cat outside in the dark?
When found, she was in the back garden, rolling in a pile of sand -which is always the first thing she does when she gets outside for a moment. Why remains a mystery.
16 years old, a house cat all her long life, and she still acts like a kitten. At night, she sits in the bedroom window, intently listening to night sounds only she hears and smelling delicious scents that apparently waft through the screen.
Thanks very much for the birthday wishes, Stephen. It is good to know that you are recovering well and your usual perky self again.
