St. Paul (and Ambrose) in China

Here's a fascinating glimpse of Catholic life in China.  (HT to Gashwin)

A parish dedicated to St. Paul celebrates the year of St. Paul with confetti, prayer, and a real Chinese feast.

The blogger is an American woman blogging under the pseudonym of Ambrose who comes across as thoughtful and observant.  Check back regularly to get a window on Catholic life in her part of China.

Jen Ambrose's blog is absolutely wonderful. It's one of my regular stops on the blogitinerary.

Oh, thanks!
A lot of people assume I have some sort of deep theological reason for blogging under the name Ambrose. The reason is actually quite simple. Ambrose is my family name, and as, I don't know, 100 million American girls born in the 1970s were named Jennifer, it ended up being the name I was frequently called in high school and college. "Which Jen?" was always answered, "Ambrose." After a while, people just cut to the chase, and dropped the Jen.
