Saw this the other day on Fr. Kyle's website, but it was no less great this time around. What floats through my mind is "The world is charged with the grandeur of God." (I posted the entirety of "God's Grandeur," the poem that first made me love Hopkins, a couple of weeks ago here: http://susanjoan.wordpress.com/2008/04/24/god-grandeur/
Spring has just arrived here - May 15th is the conventional "last day of frost" but our lawns have greened up, our aspens and trees are budding, the air is cool. It's lovely.
I too am a Hopkins fan and love God's Grandeur. In the midst of so much suffering - beauty too is real and a gift from the hand of God.
