Pictures from Walk for Life, San Francisco
The Cafeteria Is Closed has lots of good pictures of the San Francisco Walk for LIfe which took place last Saturday.
You will notice significant representation from the Western Dominican Province (OPs in full habit are very photogenic and both the novices and students are educated in the Bay area). The sisters with them are Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist who have started a new mission in Loomis, CA

Hello Sherry,
The Dominican Nuns of Corpus Christi Monastery were certainly united in prayer with all those at the Walk for Life; however, they are cloistered nuns and were not physically present. The OP women in the photo are actually our Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist. Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, these sisters are from the new mission in Loomis, California.

Thanks for the correction, Sister.
I thought that it might have been their externs because I didn't know of any other Dominican women (who wore full length habits) in the area. Is there a community of your sisters in the Bay area?
I read your comment too quickly. Obviously you do have a new community there!
