It's Corn Harvest Time Again in Hungary

And the last Sunday Mass of September in Tiszaalpar is accompanied not by organ but the tekerő. Here's a brief clip of tekero players playing a traditional Hungarian hymn.

Wow! That was cool!

It looks like the "tekero" is the equivalent of the "hurdy-gurdy", with the drone and crank mechanisms - a fascinating replacement for the organ.

Big sound, too.

Neat.
