I can not believe that I have gotten so carried away with work that I just now realized that it is Mid-summer's Day.
And so we must have a rousing chorus of that old favorite: Sumer is incumen in . . .
What? You say you've never heard of it?
A round that is a mere 740 years old? The ultimate Oldie . .
Well, it looks like this
You all know the chorus:
Sumer is incumen in,
Lhude sing cuc-cu
Gro-weth sed and bloweth sed
and springeth the w-de nu
sing cuc-cu!

I thought it was "bloweth sed and soweth med."
I did too but got this from the original manuscript!
