Got Grace?

Just curious. Sherry and I are tossing ideas around, trying to wrap our minds around the nature of grace - little things like that. I'm wondering...

Do you ask God for grace at different points in your day? If so, for what reasons, and under what circumstances? How does that change the events of your day?

When I ask God for grace during the day, it is usually because I am angry or frustrated with a person or a situation, and don't want to sin. So I suppose I would say that I ask for the grace to resist temptation, and also to discern a Christian response to whatever the difficulty is.

I also ask angels for help with computer problems, since technical support is what I do for a living. I ask them to surround me with God's grace and enlighten me.

I could write one of those silly little angel books on how often I have resolved a computer problem within moments of praying to angels.

As for the grace to resist temptation, I am learning slowly that God is more than happy to give it. The biggest obstacle is my own unwillingness to ask with an ungrudging heart. I am discovering, as I get to know and love God better, than I am begrudge Him many things.

Don't know how helpful that is.

Thanks, Rae! I find I've fallen into the habit of relying on myself too much, so I have to remember to trust God more, "who by the power at work within us is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think." (Eph 3:20)
