Do Not Presuppose the Faith But Propose It

In Gospel, Catechism, Catechesis, Joseph Ratzinger cites the above sentence which he received on a postcard from Hans Urs von Balthasar (23).

Although focused on the Catechism of the Catholic Church, this little book is packed with dynamite having to do with faith, evangelization, and catechesis. Some surprising topics:
- On the Meaning of Faith
- Jesus' Gospel
- The Gospel in the Gospels
- Paul's Gospel
- The Biblical Foundation and Concept of Catechesis
- The Biblical Realism of the New Catechism's Christological Catechesis
I would be interested to see the responses of others who have read this remarkable work.

Great post at your blog, Fred! I will have to check out that book at some point in the future.
I gather that you are not attending the National Diaconia this year?
